Danny Barnes Sits In with Dave Matthews Band

Barnes was invited to perform with the Dave Matthews Band while on tour with Robert Earl Keen this past weekend. On Friday in Houston, he played banjo on "Bartender." The following night in Dallas, he joined DMB for "Corn Bread" and "Lie In Our Graves." More info is available at road.davematthewsband.com. DMB and REK have now parted ways.... Barnes continues with REK for some theater dates in Colorado and Utah this coming week.

Pretty soon he'll be in the San Francisco Bay Area for a solo show (opening for country legend Charlie Louvin) and with REK at Hardly Strictly. Check out the gigs page for a complete rundown.

***** Addendum... Barnes is joining the Dave Matthews Band for 2 shows in L.A. at the Hollywood Bowl on October 1 and 2.

Barnes On the Home Sod

Barnes plays the Old Settler's Festival in Austin TX in mid April with old pal Robbie Fulks. Look for a smattering of the 13 Linear Feet of Duo about the state, where it will be somewhat warmer than on the previous midwest tour with it's 35 below wind chill and thirty car interstate pileup.

Barnes will play a mainstage solo set on Friday night, Jan. 5, at the River
City Bluegrass Festival in Portland, Oregon.

Danny Barnes also returns to the midwest w/ Robbie Fulks (and special guest Sprout) to perform their original score to Harry Langdon's silent film "Tramp Tramp Tramp". Look for Missouri and Illinois dates on the gig page.
